What are numbers used for?
Numbers are passed out 1 hour before the Estate/Tag Sale. This is our way of controlling the number of people in the house at one time. And it keeps things fair. "Temporary numbers" are handed out by the first person to arrive at a sale. They will usually sit in their vehicle, and have a sign on their car indicating that they are the one handing out "numbers". If you are the first person to arrive at the sale: start making numbers on paper and give them out! This ensures that the first person there, is also the first one in the door. |
If you have a temporary number and leave - make sure you are back at the designated time to recieve your "permanent" number - If you are not present when permanent numbers are passed out, your temporary number will be INVALID.
Our staff will exchange your "temporary number", for a "permanent number" 1/2 hr to 1 hr. b/4 the sale starts. You are allowed to leave with your permanent number, but be sure you are in line when the sale starts. If you are not in line when your number is called it will be invalid and you will need to take a new number.
On rare occasions #1 and/or #2 will be reserved for family members. This will be posted in our ad.
